Service Project Ideas

Since all believers are given the Holy Spirit and the spiritual gifts of Christ to use for service and blessing, all have now been liberated in Christ to do good  works. As a matter of fact, we were created in Christ Jesus as the very workmanship of God, in order that we might do good works, the very ones which we were reborn in Christ to accomplish (Eph. 2.8-10).

A key part of our SIAFU Chapter is organizing service projects in our communities that meet needs and transform our neighborhoods for the Kingdom. SIAFU gatherings can become ministry incubators, allowing local urban Christians to do good works on behalf of others in the neighborhoods where they meet.

Below is a list of ideas for service projects for your SIAFU Chapter. This is not an exhaustive list (there are many more ideas to be had and shared), but hopefully it will spur your chapter on to ideas as to how they can serve your church and community. Part of discovering ways to serve is to look for ideas in your every day. Take a walk around your neighborhood, notice needs at your church. There are a host of things from small to large that can be done. If your Chapter comes up with a service project not listed here, please tell us know so we can let others in the Network know too.
