pilgrim 600x400Pilgrim Theological Seminary

Welcome to Pilgrim Theological Seminary. Our mission is to provide minimal cost, high-quality theological education to men and women who live in or visit coastal South Carolina and to others through our online or partnering churches program. We also make our courses available to persons incarcerated in federal and state correctional facilities throughout the United States.

Pilgrim Theological Seminary is proud to partner with TUMI to offer a modified Associate in Ministry degree. For those who already have an Associates degree, TUMI courses can be applied to the Bachelor of Divinity degree completion program.

The seminary's program for TUMI students allows one credit for each module completed (18 credits total). The credits are transferable as the modules are completed. Students do not need to wait until they complete the TUMI Capstone Program in order to transfer TUMI credits or to take other seminary courses. The seminary accepts transfer credit for courses taken at other colleges in which a C or better was earned.

Pilgrim Seminary does not charge tuition nor do we charge any fees to transfer credits. We encourage our students to donate to the program, as the Lord has enabled them, to help defray the cost of their education. We have also waived the $10 per exam fee for TUMI students. Students who wish to take part in our program must complete a short application for our record keeping purposes.

To earn an Associate in Ministry degree students will need to complete all of the TUMI modules plus the following courses from Pilgrim Seminary. Written Communication; Math; Science; Missions; Evangelism and Discipleship; Spiritual Formation; Preaching and Worship; Principles of Biblical Interpretation; Old Testament I or II; New Testament I or II; Church History I or II; Death, Dying, Loss and Grief; Christian Ethics; Introduction to Christian Counseling; and Crisis Counseling.

An Incarcerated Student Packet which includes information about the seminary and participation forms can be downloaded as a PDF or from the seminary website.
