When Karen told me that the summit would be in Wichita one thought was ribs and BBQ sauce. So when I found out that Rick was going I told him and the quest was on to get hooked up. Like the Blues Brothers:cool::cool: we were on a mission from God - I never at the time knew just how true that statement was. I have to confess that we played hooky from 5:20pm - 6:45pm Sunday. We went to Two Bros. and had the best ribs I can remember having.
I mention that part so I can tell you what God had planned all along.
I called Best Cabs and they sent a taxi to pick us up. We got in and asked if she knew a BBQ place and eventually decided on Two Bros.
As we were traveling I noticed some sweet tunes on the radio. When we pulled in the parking lot and got out I said God bless and she said God Bless Brother and gave me a card with her name one it. I went in and told Rick she was a Christian.
It took the cab company 40 minutes to get to us so soon as we sat down I called and the lady said Becky was going to stay in our area and she's only 5 minutes away max. When we finally got back in the cab we introduced each other and proceeded to tell her about TUMI and Dr. Don Davis story.
I told her about our prayer circle and she said she's prayer warrior. Then she asked how she could get involved! I told her where she picked us up is the headquarters so just come by anytime and knock on the door or go to tumi.org. When we got to TUMI she pulled into the parking lot and immediately she asked if she could pray for us!
This just goes to show how you may never know where God's laborers are but we need to take full advantage of the opportunities that present themselves.
I'm sorry we took off but if we hadn't we would not have met Sister Becky. I am going to pray 'till she shows up and I hope others will also.
